1st place ex-aequo for Ben Steurbaut and his DIVIDER
8 a.m.: 70 riders take to the start line in Basel, to begin a 1,642 km crossing of Germany, with the goal of reaching Cape Arkona in Germany’s far north.
It took just 5 days, 16 hours and 16 minutes to complete this demanding course, which was made possible by the hot conditions along the way.
At over 300km a day, the pace is hellish, partly due to the stifling heat. Ben and his faithful Chiru Divider will meet Christian, with whom they’ll battle it out at the front of the race. Together, they will finish this express crossing of Germany in off-road mode, and will both climb to the top of the podium.
