The Chiru Highlander MTB titanium frame was developed for the Highland Trail 550 race in Scotland. This 550-mile (885 km) mountain loop is very steep, with 16,000 m of ascent and descent. In other words, the course is highly technical! What was needed was a mountain bike frame geared to technical and mountainous terrain. With its 120 mm fork and flat handlebars, Chiru Highlander’s geometry is designed to tackle steep slopes with optimum efficiency when the going gets tough! The frame’s vertical comfort is enhanced by the ovalized rear chainstays and hydroformed downtube. This Chiru design bias is synonymous with power transmission performance. Chiru Highlander therefore offers both good lateral rigidity and very good vertical comfort.

The SRAM UDH rear dropout, used on all Chiru models, is also used here. Thanks to its width, the TOKEN T47R24 x 92 bottom bracket offers good rigidity and optimized bearing protection. Note: internal passage for derailleur and brake hoses in chainstays and downtube; internal passage for telescopic seatpost; internal passage for rear light. Its mountain-friendly geometry makes it an excellent choice for outings lasting a few days.
