In winter 2010, Pierre-Arnaud Le Magnan, founder of Chiru Bikes, climbed and descended the Jade Dragon mountain near Lijiang in Yunnan province.
The climb includes an epic 2,000-meter ascent to reach the foot of the peaks at around 4,500 meters, followed by an even more spectacular descent over snow, scree and mule-tracks.
The team, made up of Pierre (cyclist), Julien (videographer) and Fai (photographer), spent almost 3 days alone in the mountains to reach the highest point accessible by bike. Living at sea level, the altitude was a real challenge for them.
