2017 XTERRA Asia-Pacific Champs.

Langkawi, Malaysia – April 2017.

In a powerful display of unity, Sam Osborne, Kieran McPherson, Ben Allen, and Bradley Weiss – the top four ranked elite men in the XTERRA Asia-Pacific Tour standings, crossed the finish line together and were declared co-champions of the 2017 XTERRA Asia-Pacific Championship race held in Langkawi this afternoon.

The day started with Allen and Osborne coming out of the water together, with Weiss and McPherson about one minute back.  By the 20km mark on the bike, those four were riding single file with Weiss leading the way.  It was shaping up to be a race for the ages, but then “the last 5km of the bike we couldn’t find the signage on the course, and we all went the wrong way,” said Allen.

It was a similar story for the ladies Elite race as well, let's hear Mimi's report about the race:
"Xterra Asia-Pacific was the start of my 2017 Xterra season. I love the jungle, I love the climate here in Langkawi, I love everything on this race, but this edition was a little bit different than previous years. The monkeys played jokes on the riders when they decided to Play "Hide and Seek"  with the course markings. The bike leg became more of an epic Jungle adventure than a race where you race neck to neck and push hard. I managed to finished 2nd but it's difficult to talk about the ranking because we had all a different epic story!
