2017 24Hr MTB World Champs.

Finale Ligure, Italy - June 2017.

It has now been a couple of weeks since Cory Wallace and Gaia Ravaioli were crowned as the WEMBO World Solo 24 Hour Champions in an exciting race in Finale Ligure ( Italy ) - the biggest WEMBO event, not only in riders but the 30 countries they came from. For the first time since 2007 there is no Australian name on the current champions tag on a world solo 24 trophy!
First French rider in the Elite field during this 2017 24hr MTB World Championship, Joachim Mendler came 13th overall despite being unable to release is full potential in the first part of the race.
Never finding his rhythm, he rode his Chiru Rangi-Rangi around the clock on a very demanding course using his mental strength to battle stomach problems and cramps.
Joachim will be racing more 24Hr races and long distance races this 2017 season ( MBrace this coming Weekend ). We are sure his super-motivated attitude will pay-off and his full potential revealed at last!
